Some goals

**I started this several weeks ago and have finally decided to finish it up and post.

I might not post this. I've never posted goals (or you could say resolutions, given the time of year) on this blog, and I haven't even actually written one down for years, but I think it's time I started again. I won't be sharing all of them, because I'm me and some stuff just feels too personal to put on the Internets. It's kind of funny, since I would probably be willing to share all that stuff with the people who actually read this blog anyway (hi mom!), but I just can't do it. Feels weird to me. So with that, here are the goals I'm willing to share:

1. Finish the basement. This, of course, is a joint goal with Mike. It really could happen, but I'm not absolutely depending on it. I figure if we shoot for the stars...

2. Run a half marathon this summer. It's been years since I've done one. Once it was one of my life goals to do one between each kid, but now I'll just have to take it one at a time.  Anyway, if I'm in good enough shape to do one this summer, I might do a few.  AF has one now that I'd like to try out, as does Lehi (or maybe it's Thanksgiving Point).  I also want to beat my personal best of 2:02. There are also some more health/weight loss goals associated with this, but the half marathon will be the end result.

3. Bees or chickens.

4. Vegetarian once a week. I've actually been doing this for awhile now and I want to keep it up.

5. Be a funner mom. I need to set aside more time every day to just play with the girls and not worry about getting things done.

That's pretty much it for the big goals- those I'm going to share, at least. I have a bunch of smaller ones as well- getting some little projects done on the house (mantle, culinary hose outside, lawn everywhere, gate, new bedroom accent color, etc.) and quite a few organizational ones (plan meals, keep basement orderly, implement new filing system), but really, those are not very interesting to anyone but me (Mike doesn't even care too much, even though I'm going to make him help me on some of them).
