Key Lime Pie Refresher

1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 C half and half
1 C key lime juice
2 C ice
1 Tbs lime zest
Whipped cream and thinly sliced lime for garnish

I've had some people ask for the recipe for our awesome drinks we had Sunday (and yesterday...), so here it is.  Fantastic.

Fancy drinks, anyone?

I picked up a little smoothie recipe book in the line at Target the other day, so we've decided to make fancy drinks once a week.  Tonight was a key lime pie refresher.  It was excellent.  Plus, I got to use these little umbrellas that I bought forever ago.
We've been up to other stuff besides exquisite drinks, too.  It was my birthday on Thursday (25!) and Mike and I went out to Rodizio Grill for dinner.  We had been planning on a movie after, but we were both so full that we just wanted to come home and laze about the house after.  Excellent date.  He also got me a jigsaw.  And a picture of the temple that I've wanted for over our mantle for about a year.  He remembered. :)

This is what Mim's been up to.  The Tuesday after her birthday, she decided she was only going to walk.  She hasn't crawled more than a few feet since.  So, since April 6th, Mim has been our 100% walking girl.  I didn't expect it to be such a definite line between walking and not. 
Other than that, she's been cutting some molars and being awesome. 
Oh, and Danger's going to have kittens again.

It's crazy how fast this past year has gone.  I was thinking this whole week about how, a year ago on Wednesday night, Mike and I went to the hospital a second time and they kept us.  And how Mim was born at 5:39 in the morning.  And how she's walking more and more now, and trying to talk, and how all that has happened in only a year.  It's amazing.
She got a birthday cookie yesterday.  I went to the bakery (Flour Girls and Dough Boys in American Fork- it's lovely) to get us all some celebration cupcakes and order a little cake for her for the party on Saturday.  The owner was helping me out, and she was just gushing over Mim, and when I mentioned it was her birthday, she said, "Just a minute," and came back with a big sugar cookie for her.  So sweet!  (Heheh, sweet. Get it?)  Anyway, since we had the free cookie, I didn't get Mim a cupcake.  I thought one birthday treat was enough.  We put a candle in it, sang to her, and let her go at it.  Here are the pictures:
